WHILE Trinidad and Tobago’s girls are excelling academically, the workplace must also be conducive to continued progress and their protection, President Paula-Mae Weekes said yesterday.

In a statement on the observance of International Day of the Girl yesterday, Weekes said: “Here in Trinidad and Tobago, we take pride in the achievements of our girls who generally perform well in school and have access to free education, unlike many of their counterparts in other parts of the world.
